Also, it's good to file a police report on the incident for several reasons. it makes the police aware of the theft; it helps keep valid statistics for the area (resulting in better police coverage), and if there is any insurance coverage for the guitar or a blanket policy for the business, it will lead to a faster (and more likely) insurance settlement.
